Motu Board Games: Bringing Polynesian Legends to Your Game Night – A New Venture From QCSI THREE LLC

Las Vegas, NV – October 26, 2023 – Forget your typical roll-and-move games. QCSI THREE LLC, a rising star in the board game innovation space based in Las Vegas, is shaking things up with their brand new line of Motu Board Games. These aren’t just games; they’re immersive experiences steeped in the rich mythology and vibrant culture of Polynesia. You might not immediately recognize the name QCSI THREE LLC, but they’re a team driven by a passion for bringing unique and engaging entertainment to families and game enthusiasts. Located at 6823 S Eastern Ave Ste 101, Las Vegas, NV, 89119-4694, and reachable at 414-550-6999, QCSI THREE started with a simple idea: to create games that are fun, beautiful, and tell compelling stories. They saw a gap in the market – too many games felt same-y, lacking real personality and meaningful themes. “We weren’t just looking to make another board game,” explains a spokesperson for QCSI THREE. “We wanted to create something special, something that could transport players to another world. And Polynesia, with its incredible history, gods, and heroes, was the perfect inspiration.” So, what are Motu Board Games? The initial launch includes three distinct titles, each drawing upon different aspects of Polynesian lore. These aren't your quick 30-minute games either; QCSI THREE has built experiences intended to be played over multiple sessions, making them perfect for families or dedicated game groups. 1. Maui’s Voyage: Taming the Sun This is the flagship title, and a really involved strategy game. Maui’s Voyage puts players in the role of demigod Maui’s crew. Players navigate the Pacific Ocean, collecting resources, completing quests from island communities, and – crucially – gathering the magical fishhooks needed to slow down the sun. “The story of Maui slowing the sun is a well-known Polynesian legend,” explains the design team. “We’ve translated that into a game where players have to carefully balance resource management, exploration, and completing challenges before the sun scorches the islands.” The game features beautiful hand-painted miniatures representing Maui’s crew, detailed island tiles, and a unique dice-rolling mechanic that simulates the unpredictable ocean currents. It's a challenging game, geared towards players who enjoy strategic planning and a little bit of risk-taking. Expect a play time of 90-120 minutes. 2. Hina’s Bloom: The Goddess of Creation A lighter, more accessible title, Hina’s Bloom is a beautiful engine-building game centered around the Polynesian goddess of creation. Players take on the roles of caretakers of sacred gardens, cultivating exotic plants and flowers to honor Hina. “This game is all about growth and harmony,” says the designer. “Players collect seed cards, plant them in their gardens, and then use special abilities to help them flourish. The goal is to create the most vibrant and bountiful garden.” The artwork in Hina’s Bloom is particularly stunning, with lush depictions of Polynesian flora and fauna. It’s a great game for families and those looking for a relaxing, aesthetically pleasing experience. Play time is around 60-75 minutes. 3. Tiki Trials: The Path of the Ancestors This one's a bit different – a cooperative adventure game where players become chosen warriors tasked with completing a series of challenging trials to honor their ancestors. "We wanted something that really emphasized teamwork," explains the team. "In Tiki Trials, players have to work together, combining their unique skills and abilities to overcome obstacles and solve puzzles." Players move their miniature warriors across a modular game board representing a sacred island. They face challenges like navigating treacherous jungles, deciphering ancient riddles, and battling mythical creatures. It's a thrilling experience that requires communication and strategic thinking. Expect a playtime of 75-90 minutes. More Than Just Games: QCSI THREE’s Commitment to Cultural Authenticity What really sets QCSI THREE apart isn’t just the innovative gameplay or the beautiful artwork – it's their dedication to cultural authenticity. The company worked closely with Polynesian cultural advisors throughout the development process to ensure that the games accurately and respectfully represent the myths, traditions, and values of the Polynesian people. “We didn’t want to just borrow from Polynesian culture,” says the spokesperson. “We wanted to celebrate it. We wanted to create games that would educate players about Polynesian history and inspire them to learn more.” This commitment is evident in everything from the game mechanics to the artwork to the rulebooks, which include detailed explanations of the cultural significance of the various elements. Where to Find Motu Board Games Motu Board Games are currently available for pre-order on the QCSI THREE LLC website (website address forthcoming). They will also be available at select game stores across the United States and internationally. QCSI THREE is planning to exhibit at major game conventions in the coming months, giving players a chance to try out the games firsthand. The company is already working on expansions and new titles, promising even more immersive and engaging Polynesian-themed gaming experiences in the future. “We’re really excited to share these games with the world,” says the spokesperson. “We believe they offer something truly unique and special. They're not just games; they're a gateway to a fascinating and vibrant culture.” For more information, contact QCSI THREE LLC at 414-550-6999.
